The golden ticket

Another week, another grey morning that you drag yourself from your pit to make your sacrifice at the high altar of capitalism.

But to lighten your mind we want to give you free stuff. Yes, free.

The lovely people at the Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink (Twitter: @exeterfoodfest) have given us 10 tickets to the event in April for our lovely readers (that’s you).

Never been to the festival? It’s a bit good. Set in the grounds of Exeter Castle between April 9 and April 11 it features marquees bulging with more than 100 local food and drink producers enticing you to taste and try (and of course buy), plus top names from the world of cooking giving demonstrations. Some already signed up including BBC Masterchef Mat Follas and festival co-founder Michael Caines.

And after a day spent perusing the best food and drink the region has to offer, there is the Festival After Dark, when everyone lets their hair down a bit and does a bot more testing of the ales and cider. Yee-ha.

All you need to do is be a follower of us on Twitter or Facebook, then answer the question below. Send that answer along with your Twitter/Facebook name in an email to foodiessouthwest@gmail.com by 2pm tomorrow (Tuesday February 23), specifying which of the days you would want to attend on.

If you win we will then email you back and ask for your contact details so we can get the tickets sent to you.

THE QUESTION: Where is the Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink being held?

Please note: We love sharing our food tips, but we won’t share your email address details or anything else with anyone else, even if they ask really nicely. What we might do is email you with details of future competitions and new blogs on the site. If you don’t want us to do that, please say “NO MORE EMAILS” in your email.

Good luck.
