Michael Caines and Emilia Fox, cooking in Truro for Market Kitchen: Big Adventure

An email hits my inbox informing me that a celeb type is heading for Cornwall and doing some cooking. Gratuitous excuse for a big picture…

Emilia Fox will be on the cookery show in Truro in November

Fresh for autumn 2010, Good Food’s flagship daily food show will be reinvented in an exciting new format – Market Kitchen: Big Adventure. The series, presented by Matt Tebbutt and Penny Smith, hit the road running last night (Monday 18th October) travelling across Britain’s culinary landscape to search out and celebrate the very best of British produce and ingredients.  Each week expert chef Matt Tebbutt will travel through a different part of the country in the company of a great chef that either has a connection to that week’s region, loves its food, or is simply keen to discover its gastronomic delights.

In order to create a buzz around each week’s regional shows Market Kitchen: Big Adventure will be running a series of cookery roadshows in different regions. On Saturday 30th October (9am – 2pm) in Truro Farmers Market, Lemon Quay, chef, Michael Caines, will be running tasty cookery demos, there will also be opportunities to taste and buy local food produce from some of Cornwall’s great food producers.

The Cornwall week of episodes air weeknights at 7pm w/c Monday 1st November on Good Food. Guest chef Tom Kerridge will be cooking up a Cornwall storm with Matt and Penny in the studio, celebrity guests include singer Sharron Corr, actress Emilia Fox and presenter Dawn Porter to name a few.
