Toad in the hole, aka, sausage cake
Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?
I have managed to learn, at the ripe old age of 31, that using self-raising flour to make toad in the hole is a bloody awful idea.
It turns out that if you follow this idea (as I did because I had run out of plain flour) instead of a toad in the hole, you get an excellent, airy, sausage cake. Bootiful.
