Healeys launches new Cornish Gold “crafted” Cyder

Cornish “cyder” maker Healeys has launched Cornish Gold, a new 4.5% draught cider.

It is the Perranporth company’s latest tie-up with St Austell Brewery, with whom they made the first Cornish whiskey for centuries, which was first bottled in 2011.

Healeys hopes the beer, whose tap architecture looks a little like Castlemaine XXXX to me, will be on sale in 150 bars and pubs by July.

Joe Healey, commercial director at Healeys, said: “We’ve noticed there is a market for a quality, competitively-priced pouring cyder to sit alongside our premium Rattler brand.

“Healeys Cornish Gold is very much a crafted cyder with each batch blended individually, tasted and quality-tested here on the farm.”

Healeys Cornish Gold will be fermented, blended and kegged in Cornwall and will be distributed by St Austell Brewery to pubs and bars across the South West.

Healeys makes a wide range of award-winning juices, spirits, jams, and artisan cyders – including their popular Rattler cloudy cyder which is sold in 750 pubs nationwide.
