Penpont Brewery‘s latest beer, Creation pale ale, has won two Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) awards.

The light golden beer from the brewery in Altarnon, in east Cornwall, won a gold award in its product class and a silver in the overall Champion Keg Beer competition.

Penpont is a great (not so little) brewery which was started in a barn on a farm. I recommended its An Howl on the blog three years ago as one to try.

Brewer Joe Thompson said: “It is fantastic to see all the hard work that we put into Creation recognised in this way by such a respected national body.

“Our range of quality craft beers is building a strong following here in the UK – and now also as far afield as Russia and Canada! These awards are a tremendous boost to our growing reputation.”
